SCHOLARSHIPs

The goal of the Beaty Martinez Foundation scholarship program is to support and guide the next generation of  leaders for a better Arizona.  

 Annually, we award underprivileged high-school seniors with a scholarship of up to $10,000 to pursue higher education in the state of Arizona. Funds will be split equally between the Fall and Spring semesters. Amount awarded will be dependent on school selected, funding available and the number of qualified applicants. 

Scholarship funds will be paid during the month of August—directly to the college, not the student. The scholarship funds will be issued to the college or university upon receiving a  confirmation  of enrollment for the Fall semester, which includes the Student ID number and Financial Aid Office address. Spring disbursement will be automatic as long as the student is enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours. 

This scholarship is open to Arizona high school seniors accepted to attend an in-state university or community-college by the time of the award. 

Additional Criteria: 

• Must be an Arizona resident for tuition purposes
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) 
•  Must enroll full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) 

 Eligible Students Should:

• Complete application form including all short-answer essay questions and personal statement
• Obtain two letters of recommendation 
• Submit completed application, letters of recommendation and a copy of unofficial high school transcripts

Applications must be submitted prior to  May 1st 

 The foundation's Board of Directors will review each application approximately six weeks after the application deadline.  Finalists may be invited to meet with the Board prior to final selection.
